Hare Polish Pegasus Swatch and Review

I'm so glad that Hare Polish brought back some of her original releases.  I've been following her for a while and was kicking myself for months for not getting some of her polishes when they were first released(I was trying to save money, shame on me!).  Luckily in the last restock I was able to pick up Pegasus, an etheral looking polish similar to its namesake.  When I was young, I use to draw Pegasuses(Pegasi?) over and over again with my drawing pencils - I loved the idea that a magical horse could fly with strong handsome wings and dreamed of being able to ride one.  This is that dream come alive in nail polish.

Pegasus is a breathtaking pale grey jelly with silver multi-sized hex glitter.  I don't think I have anything remotely similar to it in my collection.  Application was a fail for me, however, because it was thick and gloppy and too dense with glitter.  I imagine if I could pour some of this out and add a little thinner and clear polish, it probably would be a dream to use.  I applied three coats in these pictures and would have added a fourth for additional opacity if there wasn't already too much glitter.  You can almost see on my index how thick the polish became after a few coats.  I had to use Gelous and Poshe to smooth out the chunkiness of this.  I'm surprised to be so disappointed in a Hare Polish as this is the first time I've ever encountered this problem with any of her polishes.  Despite this being a reformulation of the original, I wonder if the original was that bad to begin with or if she needs to go back to the drawing board for this one again.

Do you think the terrible application is worth the polish payoff?

  2. Hi! hahah, thanks for pointing that out. I'm a pharmacist and I dispense a lot of Pegasys so I must have superimposed the name on the title. I'll fix it now. Thanks again!
