PolisHaus Poof Panties Swatch And Review

Um, yeah, you read that title right.  Hold that thought.

My DH is a compulsive mustard buyer.  Every time we go to the grocery, he has to buy a bottle of mustard.  Granted he does go through them pretty quickly, but sometimes, before I know it, I've got three or four opened bottles of the same mustard in the fridge.  It drives me crazy.  Most of them are nearly used up but still have that tiny bit at the bottom that's hard to get out.  Luckily, I've learned I can reuse those errant bottles by adding some vinegar, oil, honey, and some spices to create a nice honey mustard dressing for salads.  Yup, I'm resourceful like that.  I thought I'd pass on that little trick in case you've got a compulsive mustard buyer like my DH.

Back to that first thought - I had to give this polish a try because I couldn't get over that name, it's hilarious!  It's by an indie called PolisHaus that I've seen mostly on Instagram.  It's funny, there's  a whole other community of nail polish lovers on Instagram, from indie makers to swatchers to fans, separate from the blogs and forums.  It's really interesting and equally fun and interactive.  Anyway, back to Poof Pantie - it's a medium purple jelly crammed with tiny multicolored microglitter and holo glitters.  Application was ok - the first coat was super sheer and I didn't get many glitters, so the subsequent two layers I used thicker coats to get more of the glitter on the nail.  The polish itself was easy to control and didn't pool.  It dried on the gritty side, so Gelous and topcoat are needed to get a glassy shine.

The multitude of colors are fun to look at and keep the polish interesting, but the holo glitters are the real star of the show.  There's a ton of sparkle to be had and it really lights up the purple base. Being my first PolisHaus polish, I have to say that I'm looking forward to trying more of them, especially if they're just as fun and colorful as Poof Panties.  I'm not sure what the Poof Panties reference is for but if anyone knows, please let this old lady know... my Google search shows a youtube video and a fake Justin Bieber twitter account.

  1. I dunno why... but poof panties is reminding me of a rap song that I've heard? Maybe I'm making it up in my own head... but I think I've heard that if a man is so super sexy he goes POOF! And panties magically fall to the ground! ??

  2. The name of this polish is hilarious! I can't recall where I've heard that phrase before but it does sound kind of familiar. The color itself is really pretty. I love all of the glitters. I've never tried this brand before but I'll have to check them out.
