Nerdlacquer Tisiphone Swatch And Review

Hello my pretties!  My parents are leaving today and I'm looking forward to having my house back to myself.  I like having them around, but at the same time, I like having the freedom of my own space.  Who can blame me?  I'm sure they'll be back out again soon, and I can look forward to that.

To finish out the trio that was released in Nerdlacquer's latest collection, I have Tisiphone, described by Amanda as "the Vengeful Destruction is a greyed taupe with translucent opal and deep mauve flakes, plus gold and blue shimmer. If you throw away one of your other nail polishes, Tisiphone might kill you in your sleep."  Gulp.  Now that's intimidating.  I'm willing to risk some vengeful destruction however, because this beauty blindsided me when I didn't expect it to.  Upon seeing the photos and the bottle itself, it appears to be a murky green tinged taupe the comes off as slightly unappealing.  It's not a shade that I'd normally gravitate towards, but what the heck, these days I'm willing to go out of the box and try new colors, including those like this one that I think may clash with my skintone.  The polish was slightly thick and sheer, but it applied easily and was pleasingly opaque in three coats.  As it built up in color, I realized that it becomes less green and more of a grey leaning taupe, and then the beauty quietly unveils itself when the blue iridescent and gold flakes begins to shimmer and sparkle.  I finished it with a layer of Gelous and topcoat.

Isn't she a beaut?  And not unflattering at all, IMO.  If anything, it comes off as a mannequin mani offset with glorious ethereal flakes. It goes to show that you can't judge a bottle by its color. If you didn't see the other colors from the Furies collection, make sure you check out Alecto and Magaera. 1. I'm not sure if this is a color I would normally go for, but I like that it's different from most nudes! Those flakes are super pretty too.
