Pahlish Olea Europea Swatch And Review

Hello! Are you excited for the weekend? Do you have any plans? Every year my family and I travel somewhere for vacation - last year we went to NC and NJ.  We didn't have anything planned yet for this year but I just found out my friend is getting married in New Orleans this June so now I have a destination.  I'm not looking forward to the heat and mosquitos but I can't wait to see my friends!  Have you visited that city yet? Any must see or do recommendations?

I've been missing my murky greens and I realized I haven't swatched for you Pahlish Olea Europea, a gorgeous and mysterious olive green linear holo.  I've actually worn this twice already around the holidays when my family was visiting.  I found it quick to apply and season appropriate, a perfect solution while being exiled from my usual workspace.  The formula is creamy and smooth, with a no streak application and building up to opacity in two coats.  I used no topcoat in these pics to avoid the possibility of dulling the holo.

How incredible is that shade of green? And isa holo to boot, ooh la la! I've not seen any holo in this shade of green and I'm so excited to own this beauty.   Considering that I've worn this now three times means this is a huge winner for me.  Do you like unusual holo shades like this?

  1. I love it when I'm online at o dark thirty and one of your posts comes in! You're a night owl, are you not? When's your birthday, are you a gemini?

Pahlish's Olea Europea is such a gorgeous polish, I've been admiring it from afar ever since it first appeared in Shannon's shop. Gorgeous murky olive, and the holo adds a golden effect that is stunning! I may get it yet!

Thithi, New Orleans (Nawlins) is one of my favorite cities. It has an old, old feel to it, the way cities in Europe feel. I haven't been there since before Katrina, though. Being a foodie, you will be in heaven. Make sure you visit the Acme Oyster Bar in the French Quarter (if it's still there...) and have crawfish or fried oyster po'boys at Frankie and Johnny's and coffee and biegnets at Cafe Du Monde near Jackson Square. There was a little bar near Audobon Park where we used to go for chili cheese fries and red beans and rice on Wednesdays but I can't remember the name of it... maybe it was Audoban II? The Zoo is awesome btw. Get your friend or a local to take you to their favorite place, that's by far the best way to enjoy food in the Crecent City. For things to see, architecture! Walk around in the Garden District. I used to love just walking and looking at the houses. Although in June, that might not be the most fun thing to do because the humidity is like nothing you've ever felt even on the east coast, seriously!

    1. You're so awesome! Thanks for all the tips, I'll definitely keep make sure I visit the places you mentioned. I love that you made a point to mention food related spots, because I'm definitely going on a gastronomic tour of the city during my free time. Mmm, oysters! I think the wedding guests will be staying in the French Quarter, which doesn't really excite me - maybe in my younger years, but now I just want to be in a friendly walkable neighborhood. I love the architecture of New Orleans, and I adore the bright colors of the buildings. I can't wait to go! I'll have to slather myself in mosquito repellent though.... I am not looking forward to that humidity!

Oh yes, I guess you can say I'm a night owl but somewhat reluctantly. I get most of my blogging done after LO goes to bed, but then she usually wakes up a couple hours into it and then I have to get her to sleep again... and then finally after that I finish my posts and go to bed. I can't wait until she's old enough to allow me to actually be on my computer during the day!

  2. This color is so pretty! I love that it's a unique shade, especially for a holo.
