KBShimmer Myth You Lots Swatch And Review

Purchased

Fall tv is in full effect, and I'm catching up and discovering a couple shows in my very little spare time.  I always have to watch my Top Chef competition, and of course Vampire Diaries and now The Originals.  I've also been watching some Dracula and Reign.  What shows have you been watching?

In one of my binges hauls, I may have let some of the new KBShimmers into my shopping cart.  The ones that interested me most were the holographic multichromes as these types of polishes always seemed to elude me with other brands.   Myth You Lots is a brown to silver and violet multichrome with a linear holo that applied with a nice fluid formula.  It did run a bit sheer though, and needed three coats to build up coverage.  I had no patchiness or streaking during application, and it dried to a nice shine on its own.  No topcoat in these pics, with the first one in the light tent, the rest under direct light.  And warning - lots of pics and weird hand poses!

It's not as multichrome as I was hoping, but it's definitely got some great duochrome color play.  The violet is the most prominent, with the brown peeking out at odd angles.  The linear holo is a sweet bonus, and makes this polish great eye candy throughout the day.  The price point in comparison to other similar polishes is amazing too, an affordable $8.50 versus $12 and up amongst other brands.  Overall, I'm very pleased with this polish and I'm looking forward to trying the others that I snagged.  What colors do you know of that have a similar finish?

  1. Love and adore! I'm crazy about the violet with the brown, you did a great job of capturing the colors. Would you be tempted to layer this over a base color to see if it amped up the multichrome? I'm kind of digging the soft ethereal look of it by itself, so fleeting and so much delicate nuance. Doesn't hurt that it looks fabulous on you either! When my ship comes in just watch my KBShimmer shopping cart lay some tracks....

    1. I definitely need to layer this over black! They're pretty sheer so I bet it would look good. I'm going to put that next on my list!!

  2. I love this! It's so gorgeous. I actually made an order for some of their new Christmas colors but now I want this one. I'll have to get it next time. I noticed the same thing about the price, which is awesome. As for shows, I love Once Upon A Time. I have all of the new episodes recorded but have yet to watch them. Same thing with Once Upon A Time In Wonderland.

    2. I got Kringle All The Way, All Elf'd Up, and Toast-ess To The Mostest, which is my favorite. I just watched the first episode of the new season and I loved it! I need to start watching the rest. Yeah, I saw that! I loved Jamie Dornan in the series, so I was sad to see his character go. I always thought he was pretty attractive, so maybe he'll do a good job in that movie. I probably won't be seeing it but who knows.
