Takko Lacquer Nirvana And Electric Apple NYC Swatch And Review

Happy Hump Day!  I get part of the day off today so I'm looking forward to spending some alone time with LO.  I haven't had much time with her alone while the parents were visiting so this will be a nice opportunity to hang out with her.  She's grown so much in the past few months, from barely crawling to now standing up on her own.  Time flies so quickly!

I managed to score a couple Takko Lacquers during the last restock and I'm excited to share them with you today.  The first is Nirvana, a teal crelly base packed with gold flakes.  I used two layers here but probably could have done three to prevent VNL.  My nails are getting long so I've got to start either using more layers or file them down.  The formula of Nirvana was super smooth and easy to apply with no pooling or streaking.  Some of the flakes did come off the free edge of my nail, but those are easily removable.  I finished with a layer of my topcoat mix to add shine and hasten drying.

The second Takkiko that I scored is from the newest fall collection, called Electric Apple NYC.  This one is a gorgeous taupe grey with golden shimmer.  I die!  I love love shades like this and it's a perfect fall shade, if not a perfect year round neutral.  Thank goodness for F5 otherwise I'd have never scored this.  Formula was again wonderful and I had no issues applying it with two coats.  It did dry slightly matte so I used a layer of topcoat to finish.

How gorgeous are both of those shades?  There's nothing I love more than gold flakes and gold shimmer, and Takko hit them both on the nail.  I adore these and I'm so happy to add these to my collection!  Thank goodness again for that F5 button.  If you're interested in scoring a few Takkikos for yourself, be sure to add yourself to the Takko Lacquer email list for restock updates.

BONUS Shot!  I added Enchanted Polish Austin Powers and some gold glitter to the tips:

    1. This one is really special, but it's not too different from Hare Bisbee which might be a little easier to snag.

  3. I just love your polish aesthetic, Thithi. Both of these are gorgeous. And I luuurrrrve what you did with the golden glitters over Electric Apple NYC, such a yummy fall look!

    I'm guessing that F5 means refresh? ;->

    1. Yes, make F5 your friend during restocks! I don't give up until at least 15 minutes after the restock start.

      Thanks about Electric Apple! I was a little iffy on it because I didn't think the gold really showed, but maybe it's better that it's subtle.
