Hare Bisbee 2.0 Over Essie Naughty Nautical Swatch And Review

I'm feeling much better today despite some soreness, and I managed to get a lot done today while still spending some quality time with LO.  My biggest accomplishment was cleaning out some of my closet and listing my stuff on evilbay.  With LO around, I had to get rid of a lot of my heels that I won't be wearing anytime soon.  It's sad to part with them but there's no point in keeping them if I haven't worn them.  On the upside, hopefully it'll free up some space in my closet and add some cash towards some bills I have!

Essie Naughty Nautical is a the perfect shade of marine teal with silver shimmer.   The formula was impeccably Essie with no streaking or pooling.  It had a perfect consistency that self leveled after two easy coats.  It dried quickly with a glossy shine, so no topcoat shown in these pics.

I thought Naughty Nautical had a similar base color as Hare's recently released Bisbee 2.0, a teal based crelly with gold shimmer, square, and hex glitter.  The teal in Bisbee is a bit more blue leaning but not that far off once applied over Naughty Nautical.  The gold hex glitter really pop against the teal base.  I used two coats and had no trouble with clumping or dragging of glitters during application.  This is finished with a layer of Poshe.

I really like these two polishes layered over each other because it didn't take away the depth of the Hare glitter.  There's still that squishy factor that I love about color based glitter polishes but without having too much sheerness.  Had I used Bisbee 2.0 alone, I would have probably used about 4 coats and still had some VNL.  I haven't compared the original Bisbee to the new release, but so far I don't detect too much of a difference.  If anything, the new version is more opaque than the original.  Have you had a chance to compare them yet?
