Fing'rs Heart 2 Art Mint Condition Swatch And Review

Happy Sunday ladies!!  Last night the in-laws insisted on watching LO so that we could go out to dinner, and who am I to turn down orders?  We went to Akasha, a restaurant that we've been wanting to try for years. The seats were packed on a Saturday night, and the ambiance was lovely.  I ordered a cocktail and started with a salad and finished with some "Bali" flavored baby back ribs.  The ribs were cooked perfectly, but the seasoning was nothing extraordinary, just plain old hoisin sauce from what I could taste.  The highlight of the evening was the guest sitting at the table across from us.  I swear it was Liza Minnelli! No one made a fuss over her, so maybe I'm wrong, but I swear it was her and DH couldn't disagree with me.

Deborah Lippmann's Mermaid Dream was a huge hit when it was released, but I never could follow that trend.  I'm not a huge fan of foil-ish bases with glitters and couldn't justify spending the hefty price tag for said polish.  Recently, Fing'rs released a new line of budget polishes and they had a similar looking dupe in their collection, called Mint Condition.  I couldn't resist the low price tag and I've got swatches of it for you.  It has a light teal blue foil base with gold shimmer and small blue hex glitters.  I used two relatively easy coats, relative meaning I somehow navigated the wonky overly thick brush and drippy wand without making too big of a mess.  It dried quickly but with a satin finish.  No topcoat in these pis so you can see what I mean.

The glitters did want to drag towards the tips and I had to use a slight dab technique to get some glitters in the sparser areas of the nail.  There is some minimal brush stroke-age going on, but the glitters mask most of the marks.  Overall, I guess it's a pretty polish if you like that sort of thing.  And for 2 bucks, you can't beat the price if you've been lemming after the DL.  Which do you think you'd buy, this or the original?
