Pahlish Chemical Swirl Swatch and Review

I found a local computer repair place for my laptop and the guy was able to quote me the same price as the manufacturer for replacing my led screen.  It's still on the pricey side for a repair - I had to consider whether it was worth replacing or buying a new laptop since they're so cheap these days.  It's a fairly good laptop so I guess it was worth fixing.  I feel better knowing that it's a local guy fixing it and that I'm supporting a local business.  Lesson learned - never leave a thumb drive on the laptop when guests are around.  You never know if someone's going to try and shut the screen on top of it!

Tonight I have a core polish from Pahlish called Chemical Swirl.  This one didn't catch my attention at first, but after swatching it I can't believe I didn't notice it right off the bat.  It's a gorgeous lavender crelly with everything but the kitchen sink thrown in, and I love it!!  It's got a medley of glitters like mattes, bars, and squares.  The only downfall of this polish is that the glitters are on the dense side, so it was difficult to get opacity with the base without getting clumping of the glitter.  I would definitely recommend matching undies then applying one or two layers of Chemical Swirl.  In these pics I used four layers of Chemical Swirl and you can see some mild clumping towards the tips of my nails.  I used Gelous and Poshe to smooth everything out.

Despite the dense thicker, I really adore the base and mix of glitters and definitely plan on swatching it sometime in the future with some undies to help balance out the glitters better.  Pahlish never fails to disappoint when it comes to gorgeous glitter creations!
