China Glaze New Bohemians - Unpredictable and No Plain Jane

This past summer China Glaze released a duochrome collection known as the New Bohemians.  I've got to say that China Glaze is one of my favorite lines because of their innovative and cutting edge colors and finishes.  This collection is no exception, especially now that the flakie fad is dying off.  I'll always love a good duochrome, and I was excited to try these out.  Unfortunately I had to put off taking a trip to my favorite nail supply because of the baby for a couple months, but when I went this past weekend, these were on the top of my list.  I also found several bottles of BFF while looking around - I can't believe my nail supply still had these in stock!  The two colors I chose from this collection were Unpredictable and No Plain Jane.

Unpredictable was a surprise for me.  I thought that I would like No Plain Jane the most, but I think after swatching both, this one is my favorite of the two.  The duochrome was stronger in this color, flipping from green to blue easily.  The formula was on the thin side and I used three coats in these pics, although I probably could have gotten away with two.  The brush strokes are apparent in this color and unavoidable, but it doesn't detract from its beauty.

I've been lemming No Plain Jane for a long time and was happy to see they had it in stock.  The formula was a tiny bit thinner than Unpredictable and I used three coats in these pictures.  I didn't get as many brushstrokes with this color.  The finish is a pretty opalescent purple that almost glows from within and it flashes brown and grey.  You can see some of the brown the best in the last photo.  I enjoyed wearing this color but it didn't hit the sweet spot like Unpredictable did.  There are other polishes that make similar duochromes that I think I prefer over this(ie Zoya Ki).
