Fing'rs Heart 2 Art Set In Rhine-Stone Swatch And Review

It's Saturday and I'm hoping that everyone's got some fun plans for the weekend!  Even though I have to work, I'm looking forward to the spending some time at the pool afterwards with the family.  If DH and I are adventurous enough, we'll try and catch a movie for an impromptu date night and let the in-laws watch the baby.

From my vacation haul, I was really interested to see how the Fing'rs Heart 2 Art nail polishes would perform, especially since they were only $1.68 a pop.  The bottles are tall and slim and look similar to stripers, but instead have a regular brush so that it can be applied like regular nail polish.  The color selection is intriguing, there's definitely some fashion forward colors to choose from like duochromes and glitters with colored bases.  My favorite of the three I picked up is Set In Rhine-Stone, a grey cream with gold and silver microglitter.

Application was tricky, since the brush wand is really long, you need to make sure that you allow the polish to drain down to the brush so you can wipe off the access, otherwise the polish will pool on the nail during application.  The brush itself is wonky and thick with some stray strands that stick out awkwardly.  The formula is really thick, so be prepared to add thinner - I chose not to because I find thick polishes are easier for me to control.  It was nearly opaque in one coat and did not drag or streak.  I applied another coat to add depth of color, and then finished with Gelous and Poshe because it dried semi-matte.

I really love the gold and silver glitter against the grey cream base.  IRL the silver glitters don't stand out as much as the gold glitter.  It's a really amazing neutral that's perfect for the office or an evening out.  Set In Rhine-Stone, despite it's poor formula, is going straight into my permanent collection since I have nothing like it.  I'm definitely looking forward to trying my other Fing'rs Heart 2 Art polishes but with low expectation of performance.  Have you had a chance to try these out yet?

  1. Love love LOVE this pretty speckled look on you! That base color is just the perfect medium grey, gives the polish an attractive elegance, refined but totally approachable. Delicious!
