I love a gorgeous dusty green shade and OPI Thanks A Windmillion is just that. I neglected to pick it up when it was first released(why, I don't know and I've been kicking myself ever since), so when I saw it today I had to have it. Formula was typical OPI goodness, pigmented and smooth, albeit a bit streaky and dried slowly. I used two layers for this mani and you can see that I rushed the 2nd coat because there's a little dragging. Oopsies. No topcoat in these pics.
And bonus pics! I found OPI Black Spotted in my nail supply store today, it looks like it's finally landed in the US! Woot woot! Forgive the cracks, it was my first attempt. My right hand actually looks much better than this.
I'll have to do some homework and practice a bit more with the OPI Black Spotted. I'll figure a way around those cracks. But hey, so what, OPI Black Spotted is finally in the US, hooray!!

This is cool! I love it with the cracks because it's so special (and it reminds me of cute little turtles ^_^).
ReplyDeleteDon't know how to use "spotted", but maybe the green polish wasn't dry enough?
i thought the same thing about the turtles, how funny! I think i didn't use a thin enough layer when applying the black spotted. I used thinner layers on my right hand and there were no cracks. is black spotted easily accessible where you are?
DeleteHello :) I love your swatches. You have beautiful nails! I noticed that you also have YSL Jade Imperial, how you do compare the OPI Thanks a Windmillion with Jade Imperial? I am asking because I have been lusting over Jade Imperial since the pictures for the Spring collection started to pop up online, but I know there are similar colours from other brands with very good quality as well... I was wondering what do you think, are they close enough in terms of colour? Thank you very much for your help!***
ReplyDeleteHi! Thanks so much for the question! I had to dig out the two bottles out of my terribly organized collection(aka stashes throughout my kitchen) but I've found them and made a post to compare, just for you! Enjoy!!
