Hare Polish The Last Queen of France Cream Jellies

Tonight I've a fabulous installment of the new Hare Polish Spring collection.  Nikole gets her inspiration for this season's colors from Marie Antoinette.  All the colors in this collection are lovely spring colors and have a regal beauty to them.  This first post will be the creamy jellies from the collection, titled Let The Eat... What?, Return To Nature, and Rococo Grandeur.

First is Hare's Let Them Eat... What?  While swatching this, I kept thinking that the glitters and combination reminded me of cake and frosting, and that was before I knew the actual name of the polish.  It's completely dead on for some sort of cake, perhaps a strawberry shortcake?  I love the matte orange hexes mixed in with the gold hex and square glitters in the nude jelly base.  The formula was slightly thick but easy to work with.  The base was very sheer but opaque at three coats which you can see here.  No clumping or dragging of glitters and the glitters spread out evenly.  I used a layer of Gelous because it was slightly gritty and finished with a layer of topcoat.

Return To Nature is simply stunning.  It's a gorgeous nude jelly with small matte white and gold hex and square glitters.  So simple but so amaze balls.  Way to go Nikole for putting together such a beautiful polish.  I had no trouble with the slightly thick formula and there was no dragging or clumping of the glitters during application.  I used a light basecoat of OPI Don't Pretzel My Buttons on all fingers except my pinky.  There are two layers of Return To Nature on all the fingers except my pinky which has three.  In hindsight, I should have just used three layers of Hare alone.  No Gelous needed for this, I finished only with a layer of topcoat for shine.

Finally I have Rococo Grandeur, a delicate appearing combination of light blue crelly with pink and gold square and hex glitters.  This is a perfect feminine shade for spring.  It was thicker than the previous two polishes but still workable.  Due to the thickness, I was able to get away with two thicker coats for opacity with some slight dabbing involved.  Despite that, I didn't have any clumping or dragging and I used a layer of Gelous and topcoat to finish.

I really love all the gorgeous glitters and colors that were featured in tonight's post.  I have to say that Return To Nature is my favorite, followed by Rococo Grandeur, but I would happily wear any of them at any given time.  Nikole's creativity knows no bounds and I can't wait to check out the rest of the collection.  Stay tuned if you want to see more!

If you're interested in purchasing, Hare will be restocking the Etsy shop on Wednesday March 20th.  Don't miss them!
