NerdLacquer Event Horizon Over Sinful Colors Calypso

If you didn't hear the big news this weekend, Nerdlacquer is back in action!  She opened shop on Saturday and sold out within minutes, isn't that incredible??  I think everyone is excited that she's back in production and I'm looking forward to seeing her new creations, as well as old favorites.  I was able to place an order and I'm anxiously anticipating their arrival, despite a possible delay from overselling.  The way I see it, I waited this long for her to come back, another week ain't gonna hurt!

In the meantime, I broke out some of my Nerds, and the first I have to show you tonight is Event Horizon.  I was gifted a set of mini Nerds during a secret gift exchange and they're some of my most treasured polishes.  I used this over Sinful Colors Calypso, a dark teal green shade.  I have some swatches of that for you to see first.  Application of Calypso was a bit thicker than normal for Sinful so I got some brush marks because it didn't level out well.  This was nearly a one coater though, but I used two because of the brush marks and slight balding.  No topcoat in these pics.

And finally, Event Horizon over Calypso.  Event Horizon has a dark teal jelly base and has a ton of holographic and teal microglitter and a smattering of larger holo hex glitter.  Application was super easy, there was no clumping and the glitter spread evenly across the nail despite the polish being over a year old.  No topcoat in these pictures.

I'm really impressed by how well this polish performed despite being over a year old.  I'm sure there was a little bit of evaporation but it just goes to show how awesome Nerdlacquer's product is.  If you missed the restock this weekend, you'll have another chance soon so don't worry.  She's baaaaaack!!!  Hooray!!
