Enchanted Polish March 2014 Swatch And Review

Hello my dears!  I hope you had a wonderful and relaxing weekend!  As for me, I was busy, busy, busy running errands and keeping LO entertained.  We took her for her first hair cut and I sadly watched her first grown hair get chopped off.  It's now more evenly shaped and not as straggly as it was, but her curls aren't as full as before.  Hopefully they'll come back!

I received my newest order from Enchanted Polish and within was March 2014, a stunning spring green holo with the same remarkably easy to apply formula that Enchanted has been known for these past several months.  Below I used two smooth coats with no topcoat.  First pic is in the light tent, the rest are under direct light.

I love how much holo is in this green!  This is probably just as amazing as one of the China Glaze OMG holos, if not better.  This is certainly destined to be a staple in my ever growing holo collection.  Next, I was inspired by a picture on pinterest to do a distressed holo mani using Chalkboard Nail's technique.  It was my first time attempting this, and I don't think I executed it that well.  My brush needs to be cleaned off much more before using it on the nail.  I used various Enchanted Polish holo of the month polishes, such as August 2013, April 2013, October 2013, and I think February 2014.

It's certainly an easy enough technique to use that fast and colorful.  In fact, I feel like I achieved more of a tie dye effect with the various colors that I used.  I might try to do this mani again when I have more time, with different holo colors.   Have you tried this technique yet?   Any tips for a newbie such as I?

  1. I love what you did with this technique with all of those beautiful colors, it looks totally cool in your photos and I'm sure it's even better in person!

Did you save a lock of LO's hair for her scrapbook? How'd she handle sitting still for the cut?

    1. I saved a lock for her scrapbook, but it doesn't have the same verve as it did when it gently curled against her neck. She was a champ throughout the entire cut! Next time I won't be a chicken and I'll try doing it myself.

The distressed look was so easy, I can't wait to try it again!

  2. That green is gorgeous and the holo effect is stunning as well! I'm in love with the look you created with the other polishes. It's super cool to look at. Aw, Lo got her first hair cut! I hope her curls come back too. My niece had really pretty ones before her first cut and I was sad when they went away.

    1. I hope the curls come back! I've been wanting to do more nail art but it's so hard finding the time to sit down and plan it out, then to execute. This was fast and easy!
