Kunimitsu Nail Potions Nice Planet Swatch And Review

Happy Sunday my lovelies!  I immersed myself in a book these past few days and finally came up for some air.  I don't get to read often anymore, but when I do, I have a hard time pulling myself away.  What's the last book that you read that you couldn't tear yourself away from?

It's been raining like mad here in SoCal, and it's really making me look forward to spring.  I thought Nice Planet by Kunimitsu Nail Potions would be the perfect polish to springboard into the next season.  It's a white cream based polish sprinkled with blue and green hex glitters and gold microglitter that applied surprisingly easily for a white based polish. I only needed to apply three thin coats to get full opacity, but the formula was on the thick side.  The brush is nice and wide as well, and I had to wipe off quite a bit polish into the neck of the bottle so as to not to overload polish onto the nail.  I finished with topcoat to hasten drying.

Does that scream spring or what?  It's like fluffy white bunnies jumping about in the green grass and blue skies, with the sunlight twinkling through leaves.  I don't often like to wear white based polish because of my fear of patchy application but I had no trouble with that at all with this polish.  I would have liked more of the larger glitters, and will have to remember to let the bottle sit upside down for a while since it seemed that most had settled toward the bottle during transit.  I think my favorite are the gold microglitters in the polish because it seems to bridge the blue and green glitters to the white cream.  Have you started transitioning toward spring colors yet?

  1. So fresh and pretty!

The only white based polish I own is KBShimmer You Autumn Know, which applies beautifully without a trace of patchiness. I adore that polish. She released a new white based polish for Valentine's Day called Falling for Hue that looks SO delicious, with pink and fuchsia and red glitters in it. I've been trying to convince myself that it's close enough to You Autumn Know not to need both.

I'm craving brights right now, is that spring or have I skipped a season and gone right to summer?

    1. I can understand skipping spring! I'm not huge into pastels myself, but after a winter of dark colors, I'm really looking forward to anything that's is lighter and colorful. I love summer though - nothing beats those vibrant shades and neon colors.

I have You Autumn Know as well! I've been wanting to swatch that, especially after seeing the v-day version. It looks so similar!

  2. This is so pretty! I love the glitter mix. All of the colors are great together. I'll have to check this one out. It has been raining a lot! I don't mind it, but at the same time, I wish the sun would come back for when I take pictures for the blog. I know what you mean about reading. I'm the same way. A few weeks ago I read the book Hush, Hush in a day! I couldn't pull myself away from it.

    1. Uh oh, don't tell me about another book! I may feel compelled to look into and and then get sucked in. My DH bought me Divergent and I've been meaning to read it, but I've been putting it off because I know I'll disregard everything until I finish that book.

  3. I have this one. You are right. The gold glitters brings it all together. And for lovers of circle glitters, who do not prefer in-your-face polish, this one is just perfect.
